Meet Dr. Karla H Bishop
Dr. Bishop is a board-eligible endodontist who grew up in Dallas and attended college at Vanderbilt University. She studied dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry and then practiced general dentistry in the Dallas area for 5 years. Subsequently, she returned to Baylor College of Dentistry to earn a Master’s in Oral Biology and a Certificate in Endodontics.
Dr. Bishop comes from a family of dentists. Her mother is a retired dental hygienist, and her father is a retired endodontist. She and her father practiced together up until his retirement at age
Dr. Bishop especially loves the challenge of a difficult diagnosis and the treatment of trauma cases. But her favorite part of the job is getting to know her patients and providing empathetic care along with excellent treatment. Dr. Bishop is a past president of the DFW Metroplex Endodontic Society and the Oak Cliff Study Club.
Dr. Bishop and her husband, Dan, have 5 (mostly grown) children. When not doing root canals, she enjoys tennis, reading, and traveling.
