Meet Dr. Thomas Choate
Dr. Choate was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Baylor University in Waco, graduating in 1980 with a BA in Business Administration. Upon graduation, he earned his dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Choate was elected to the Odonatological Honor Society and Omicron Kappa Upsilon after his graduation in 1984. After spending a year in private practice as a general practitioner, he returned to Baylor to pursue his certificate in Endodontics. He opened his office in the Carrollton area shortly after that in 1988. Dr. Choate has over 25 years practicing dentistry in the Dallas area. Among his distinctions are being named by “D” magazine as one of the best dentists in Dallas and being selected by Texas Monthly for their list of “Super Dentists.”
Dentistry runs in the Choate family; his wife, Dr. Barrie B Choate, is a practicing dentist for infants, children, and adolescents in the Woodhill Medical Complex in Dallas, TX. He is the proud father of three children. One daughter is a pediatric dentist; one son and a son-in-law are orthodontists.
When not practicing dentistry, you can find Dr. Choate participating in some of his favorite outdoor pastimes, which include hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He also loves cheering on his beloved Cowboys and Mavericks, preferably in person and with his family in attendance.
